Evaluation Researchers Survey
Introduction: You have been invited to take part in a brief
research project on research protocols and practices. This survey is being sent
to researchers involved in impact evaluation work through the World Bank,
Innovation for Poverty Action, and 3ie. The researchers conducting this project
are Dr. J. Lawrence Aber, Kate Schwartz, and Yeshim Iqbal at Global TIES:
Transforming Intervention Effectiveness and Scale, Steinhardt School of
Culture, Education, and Human Development, New York University.
Description: This survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete
and asks questions regarding your impact evaluation work with a focus on the
kinds of questions you seek to answer through such work and data transparency.
Risks to participation: We believe that this research is of
minimal risk to you. The stress level experienced during this study will be no
different from your experiences in your daily life. However, in case of the
emergence of negative or distressful feelings in completing any part of this
study (or questions), you may skip those questions or the whole questionnaire,
or withdraw from the study without penalty. You may contact the researchers,
Kate Schwartz or Yeshim Iqbal, to discuss any distress or other issues related
to study participation.
Confidentiality: Your part in this research is confidential.
In this research you will not be asked for identifying information. The
information gathered for this project will not be published or presented in a
way that would allow anyone to identify you. Information gathered for this
project will be stored in a password-protected file and only the research team
will have access to the data.
Voluntary Participation: Participation in this study is
voluntary. You may refuse to participate or withdraw from the study at any time
without penalty. You also have the right to skip or not answer any questions
